5th Annual Hot Times Kate Schulte Tribute

Our artists-in-residence for 2016 were a mix of old masters and new masters. For our 5th annual Tribute, we brought back D.D. Jackson, Marlon Jordan, and Hamiet Bluiett. And, of course, our artist-in-residence emeritus Kidd Jordan. These four incredible jazz musicians were joined by Oliver Lake, a first-time artist-in-residence. The master artists and youth of TRANSIT ARTS joined in two of the performances and added so much. With The Jazz Poetry Ensemble, this year’s Tribute was legendary.
